The American Medical Resources Foundation’s mission is to improve health care around the world by donating medical equipment and supplies to hospitals that serve the poor in underdeveloped and developing countries of the world.

They receive donations of medical equipment and supplies from U.S. hospitals , clinics, manufactirers and private individuals.
The AMRF headquarters, test/repair, warehouse and shipping facilities are in Brockton, Massachusetts, approximately 25 miles south of Boston.
Donations of medical equipment are shipped to hospitals world-wide from this facility, and arrangements for engineering/technician training programs are made through this office.

Working along with physical therapist and family members we will customize your wheelchair to fit to your specific needs or request. Such customized examples include: sip and puff, head control, chin control with tilt, and recline features. - 3Our long-term goal is to set up The Wheelchair Recycler throughout the country. This will be initially accomplished through the help of Spinal Cord Injury support groups and groups that deal with related disabilities, such as Muscular Dystrophy and Multiple Sclerosis.

Donated devices are refurbished and provided free of charge to elders, veterans, children, and adults with disabilities for use at home, community, school and work.

- 4REquipment does not accept the following devices for donation:
a) beds,
b) walkers,
c) commodes,
d) crutches and canes.
These devices can be donated to your local Council on Aging. - 5During the pandemic they are not allowing drop offs. They will contact you to arrange a no-contact pick up. REquipment encourages donors to arrange to drop off devices (approved for donation) at one of their reuse centers or drop-off locations. Their reuse partner organizations can also pick up devices in their geographical area, but this may take 2 or more weeks due to high demand for this service and limited staffing.
- 6$20.00 is charged to cover costs associated with delivery. The fee may be waived for those unable to pay.

UCP’s durable medical equipment (DME) reuse program provides FREE refurbished equipment to people with disabilities and seniors in Western MA, thanks to the generosity of others in our community who donate usable equipment for reuse.

This durable medical equipment can be used short or long term and insurance is not necessary. The program cleans and refurbishes the equipment and offers items to people in Western MA. Durable medical equipment includes power and manual wheelchairs, sling lifts, scooters, walkers, standers, rollators and more.

Stavros Center for Independent Living, Inc. is one of the oldest independent living centers in the country. Currently they provide independent living, PCA, and Deaf services in the Western Massachusetts

area of Hampshire, Franklin, and Hampden Counties.
Stavros in partnership with DME REquipment maintains donated medical equipment, which is loaned free of charge for a specified period of time.
The types of equipment we generally have in stock: power wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, bath chairs, hover lifts, and grab bars. We are not accepting any more donations of crutches or walkers, as we have plenty of these at this time. We do need more manual wheelchairs and shower/bath chairs as these are popular items.

Small Miracles in Life Exist (SMILE Mass) is a 501 C3 non-profit organization that started a loaner program out of Sudbury, Massachusetts.

SMILE Mass has several pieces of equipment for families to borrow and take anywhere with them. Our current inventory includes: floating beach wheelchairs, Rifton bath chair, basic white bath chair with back, high performance Hoyt running chair, blue Freedom running stroller, adapted bike (delivery not available, pick up only), hoyer lift (provide your own sling) and a portable ramp.
