A lending library of therapeutic equipment and assistive technology has been established at the Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander.  The Therapeutic Equipment Center located at Wyoming Life Resource Center conducts monthly wheelchair and equipment repair/maintenance clinics around the state for those served by the Comprehensive and Support and Acquired Brain Injury Waivers as administered by the Behavioral Health Division and funded by Wyoming Medicaid.

Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources’ ‎Assistive Technology Device Loan Center offers a wide variety of Assistive Technology for Wyoming residents interested in borrowing a device to meet the needs of communication, daily living, learning, vision, or hearing. Loan periods are typically six weeks and offer individuals the opportunity to trial devices so they can make an informed decision prior to purchase. Wyoming Services for Independent Living ‎maintains a Loan Closet for use by anyone with a disability who needs specialized equipment. The equipment is loaned to an individual on a short-term basis, while we work with our consumer and other resources to address the barrier on a permanent basis. The Loan Closet has items such as canes, crutches, walkers, hospital beds, bedside commodes and wheelchairs which are loaned as available.

The Transportation Check Program from Wyoming Independent Living‎ is a system designed to assist people with disabilities in meeting their transportation needs. Eligible participants use assigned checks for the payment of fees or reimbursement of mileage to transportation providers.

You have to be an individual with a documented disability and an identifiable barrier to transportation and residing in the Eastern Half of Wyoming.
