Program Description:
CCEVA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit agency, fully licensed and accredited by the Council on Accreditation, and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

CCEVA is a member of our parent organization, Catholic Charities USA. CCEVA has consistently maintained one of the lowest combined fundraising and administrative costs of all charities in the Commonwealth of Virginia — 9%. Strong stewardship is both our obligation and our promise to people who give so generously of themselves, their ideals, and their resources.
Companion Care:
Catholic Charities’ Companion Care Program provides a little extra help in your home. Our workers provide companionship, safety monitoring, medication reminders, transportation to appointments, errands and outings, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, activities to bring joy to your day, and overnight assistance if needed.
- 1The fee is $18.00 an hour with a minimum of one shift per week (4 hour minimum). For overnight shifts, help for a couple, or transportation there is an additional fee.

Program Description:
The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization for service and education. Founded in 1984 by Rev. Robert S. Seiler, TSCOR provides volunteer opportunities and lifelong learning programs for older adults in Richmond.

We are the local affiliate of The Shepherd’s Center of America; a national network whose mission empowers older adults to use their wisdom and skills for the good of their communities.
TRANSPORTATION:
The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond provides clients with free, round-trip transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores. Unlike a bus or taxi, TSCOR’s transportation is provided by volunteers who give clients personalized attention and door-to-door assistance. Volunteers drive their own cars, pick up a client from their home, drive them to their destination, wait for them, and return them home again.
- 1You must have a completed client application on file to request services.
- 2Rides are scheduled one week (7 calendar days) in advance.
- 3Rides are available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- 4Rides are available to medical appointments and grocery stores only.
- 5Rides are free: no Medicare or Medicaid required; donations to TSCOR of any amount are welcomed, but are not required.
- 6No rides are given to appointments where clients will undergo general anesthesia.
- 7We regret we are unable to transport persons in wheelchairs, transport chairs, or individuals with serious cognitive impairment
Program Description:
Senior Loop Transportation (the Loop)- Weekly or monthly scheduled transportation service to grocery stores for the residents of five retirement housing facilities. All Arlington residents age 55 years and older who can get to these locations may use the Loop.

Residents of Culpepper Garden, The Carlin, Claridge House, Hunters Park and Woodland Hill should request a registration form from the management of their residence.
Senior Loop is a joint project of the Departments of Environmental Services and Human Services.
There is also a Summer Loop that offers transportation to participating Senior Farmer's Markets.
