Program Description:
Assistive Technology (AT) at the IOD is focused on three primary goals: expanding access to demonstrations and loans of
assistive technology; increasing the reuse of assistive technology equipment; and providing training and educational opportunities. Currently eleven partner organizations offer demonstrations and loans of assistive technology equipment and software. Community Partners have equipment geared toward school age children, elders, and all ages in-between.

Kearsarge Area Council on Aging (COA) – Mobility Equipment Program
Program Description:
COA is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and operates in a good standing with the State of New Hampshire’s Attorney General’s Office.
COA lends out mobility equipment for up to six weeks at no cost to any community member in need. They also accept gently used mobility equipment that is in good shape, functional, and has no rust, sharp edges, or missing parts.

Refurbished Equipment Marketplace (REM)
Program Description:
When the cost of new durable medical equipment seems out of reach, The Refurbished Equipment Marketplace in Concord New Hampshire is New England’s answer.
For nearly 30 years, the Refurbished Equipment Marketplace has been helping people to remain active members of their families and communities through access to reasonably priced durable medical equipment.
A non-profit organization, the REM is home to NH’s largest inventory of previously owned assistive technology equipment such as manual and power wheelchairs, scooters, bath equipment, patient lifts, pediatric equipment, walking aids, hospital beds and so much more. Each piece of equipment is thoroughly reconditioned and sanitized by trained technicians and then made available to purchase at a huge discount.

- 1Donations of your gently used medical equipment are always needed and will help our program provide an affordable option for others. We accept most items less than five years old and in working order.
- 2The Refurbished Equipment Marketplace greatly appreciates your donation of clean slightly used equipment. For your convenience; items can now be dropped off without appointment at our centrally located Concord location Monday through Friday anytime between the hours of 8:00 am. and 4:30 pm. A free pick-up service is available for larger or multiple item donations on one day each week.
- 3Our Online store and Showroom provide consumers the opportunity to see, try out and purchase quality equipment (both pediatric and adult) that is available at just a fraction of what it cost new. Available to anyone, this resource is most valuable for individuals and families who have limited or no insurance coverage, or who need “uncovered items” such as mobility devices, back-up equipment, bath aids, ramps, etc. Each item we sell carries a 7-day no hassle return policy, its considered a loan so individuals can try out the equipment for 7 days to make sure it is right for the individual . A 30-day warranty is standard on all equipment and payment plans are also available.

St. Joseph Hospital – Joseph’s Closet
Program Description:
Joseph’s Closet at St. Joseph Hospital is opening back up on Tuesday June 22nd to accept and provide gently used durable medical equipment to the community at no charge! It is a mission program of St. Joseph Hospital.
