This is the area where EWheels is miles- literally- ahead of its competition. Nearly every scooter they produce is the fastest in its class, and the EW72 is no different. • All-Terrain Options: You can ride through tall grass, gravel, mud and even snow with this scooter. Almost no space is off-limits to you!

CONS

• Not for Indoors: this is a very large scooter, and it likely won’t wit in most indoor spaces.
• Wide Turning Radius: 92 inches is required to make a complete turn. Can be annoying in tighter spaces.
• Not for Small Users: If you’re shorter than 5’3”, chances are this will simply be too much for you.

The EWheels EW72 is an ideal mobility scooter for bariatric patients. Other bariatric scooters may have a similar weight capacity, but most of them lack the features, speed, and range of this scooter. If you need a scooter to make life easier while dealing with weight-related issues, look no further than the EW72. It has the power you need to run errands, visit the doctor, and stay social– while still looking after your health.

It’s also a great scooter for tall people. Mobility scooters are great, but not when your knees are knocking against the tiller and making it impossible to steer! The EW72 is large by nature, and  If you’re above 6’2”, this scooter is exactly what you need to stay mobile and comfortable.

More than anything, though, this scooter is what you need if you want to leave the sidewalks behind. The tall off-road wheels, 6-inch deck clearance, and power of the EW72 make it capable of just about anything. It can handle slick concrete, mud, and snow, without getting stuck.

Top Competitor Product: Shoprider Sprinter XL4

The Shoprider Sprinter has the same weight capacity and similar off-road capabilities as the EW72, even though its wheels are only 12 inches tall. It also has a much tighter turning radius, and it can be easily separated into three pieces so that it fits in your car. The scooter itself weighs about forty pounds less than the EW72, making it more portable and versatile overall.

Where it starts to lose ground against the EW72, however, is in the power category. The Sprinter XL4 has a range of 25 miles per charge and a top speed of 5 MPH. Compared to other scooters, those numbers are actually pretty good. They’re nothing compared to the speed and range of the EW72, though. On top of that, this scooter looks less sporty than the EWheels model, which can be a deterrent for some people.

All things considered, this is still a great bariatric scooter. It’s safe, comfortable, and versatile. It may be a better choice than the EW72 for people who don’t need the speed or range and would instead prefer a slightly smaller, more portable scooter!
