Program Description:
ACC Senior Services is a not-for-profit tax exempt organization.

Founded in 1972, ACC Senior Services provides housing, education, and social services to help older adults sustain their independence and life styles.
ACC Rides Transportation Services (ACC Rides) provides door-to-door transportation service to Meals on Wheels Café sites, ACC Senior Services (ACC), other senior centers, Triple R, medical and dental appointments, grocery shopping, field trips, and other errands.
For many older adults, ACC Rides is a lifeline that provides a measure of independence to people who cannot drive, due to mobility, physical or cognitive disabilities, are unable to utilize public transit or lack other means of transport. Caregivers can also depend on ACC Rides to transport their loved ones to classes or other programs at ACC.
There is no information regarding pricing on their website. However, there are sources that say their clients are expected to make a partial donation for the transportation.
GivingEdge: "While the suggested contribution is $5 per one-way, door-to-door service, many of these seniors are unable to make a partial donation for the transportation. As many of our seniors that attend the congregate lunch sites are very food insecure, we recognize that our rides are vital in helping them access nutritious food and opportunities to socialize. Our caregiver support services- in-home assessments, care planning, support groups, and referrals are all free of charge."
ACC Rides Transportation Services provides more than 4,000 one-way trips each month for seniors in ten zip codes in Sacramento and parts of the Delta region. We bring them to doctor appointments, dialysis treatments, Meals on Wheels by ACC cafe sites, and grocery stores.
Program Description:
The mission of the ITN Monterey County is to provide a community-based, and community supported,

economically viable and consumer-oriented, quality transportation service for seniors and visually impaired adults. They offer an arm-through-arm, door-through-door transportation for older people, affordable fares, no tipping, and cash-free transactions.
The CarTrade™ program allows seniors to make use of an unused car and exchange the value of the car for ride credits. Receive a possible tax deduction or ITN ride credits for yourself or others when you donate or trade your car.
In general:
Users must be members of ITNMontereyCounty. Annual membership is $60 for an individual and $80 for a family.
Participation in CarTrade™ is a benefit of ITN membership, and there is no charge. The program helps them convert this depreciating capital asset into a fund to pay for their rides.
The average ride will cost less than the cost of an equivalent taxi cab ride. The Independent Transportation Network America (ITNA) model includes scholarships to assist low-income riders.
Discounts are applied for shared rides.
Drive ITN customers (seniors and people with visual impairments) wherever they want to go within the service area. Medical appointments, shopping, and to visit friends are frequent destinations.
