Program Description:
Amicus works with orphaned children, destitute families, disenfranchised women and imperiled cultures in Bhutan and Thailand.

We sponsor projects in medicine, education, women's needs and cultural preservation.
They have been offered everything from ultrasound imaging equipment to microscopes and medications, all of which we send overseas for use in places desperate for medical care.

Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawaii (ATRC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, resource center that provides access to assistive technology (AT) for people with

disabilities of all ages, enabling independence and participation in every aspect of community life, including employment and education.
ATRC initiated the Device Loan program in 1998 to allow individuals with disabilities, families, employers, and educators to “try-out” AT devices prior to acquisition. This is the only program in the State of Hawaii that allows individuals to try and borrow AT products free of charge.

AT devices are provided to persons with disabilities at little to no cost. Trade or donate technology to help others. If you are interested in trading or donating AT devices and software, such devices and software must be in good and working condition.

- 2We accept donations of unexpired medications, medical supplies, and equipment from medical professionals, companies, institutions, and individuals. We do not accept narcotics, or opened or expired medications. We do accept donations of small equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches. We do accept donations of larger equipment such as dental chairs, anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, hospital beds, and exam tables when we are able to arrange shipping to facilities abroad.

Kuakini Health System is accepting donations of medical supplies and equipment at its campus location (347 North Kuakini Street).

This includes personal protective equipment for healthcare purposes, as well as any other medical supplies or equipment that can be used in a healthcare facility.
