currently being used into the hands of someone who can benefit from it.

- 1The South Carolina Assistive Technology Exchange is primarily for South Carolinians, although we do accept entries from neighboring states. We also accept entries from people outside South Carolina who want to sell or buy equipment for relatives who are South Carolinians. The program is designed to facilitate equipment exchange and is not meant to be used as a profit-making tool for individuals or businesses.
- 2Only those who have registered are granted full access to all of the features of the South Carolina Assistive Technology Exchange. If you do not register, you only have limited access to the listing of items available. Registered and logged in users get access to the contact information associated with those items, enabling them to get in touch with the person who listed the item. Also, only registered and logged in users can post listings on the South Carolina Assistive Technology Exchange.

The SCATP Equipment Reuse Service can help you acquire free used assistive technology, including durable medical equipment. They collect donations of gently used medical equipment, clean and sanitize it, and give it to individuals who need it.

MedNeed of SC is a charitable organization providing medical equipment to the uninsured and indigent of all ages in the state of South Carolina.

ALS TLC is a technology loan closet for individuals who have been diagnosed with ALS and other rare neuro-muscular disorders. ALS TLC was created by The Warren Family, who know first hand the challenges of families living with ALS.

ALS TLC is a program of Touch the Future Inc. Individuals will be able to request to check out technology for loan from the ALS TLC for a small fee. Each check out is for 90 days but can be renewed for additional periods. All technology checked out is required to be returned to the ALS TLC.
